HRC members removed over 60 tons of tires from the backstop. The tires were recycled to recover metal and create rubber crumbs for approved beneficial uses. Over 3,000 pounds of lead bullets were recovered and recycled separately with monies received helping to off-set the cost of this project. This project was funded through HRC’s treasury. The site restoration and construction of the sand backstop was managed by HRC with much labor also provided by the membership. HRC wishes to thank the NRA Foundation for its generous award of $2844.37 to assist us with off-setting the costs associated with replacing the backstop. HRC is proud to have made this facility improvement and looks forward to the positive impact it will have on our training programs and membership.”
