Meetings
Monthly Membership
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM at the Club
House on West Cherry Street. The full range of Club business is discussed and
reports are given by Committees. Meetings are interesting and well attended,
with typically 35 to 50 people in attendance.
We have a very involved, active membership who welcome new members to
join in the fun and social activities that result when friends get together to
enjoy the shooting sports. Everyone’s ideas are encouraged and all members
have a vote in matters affecting the Club. The occasional guest speaker informs
and entertains. Prospective new
members should plan on arriving a half hour early to meet with the Club’s
Welcoming Committee. All new member applications are voted on at the monthly
meetings and the applicants are required by Club By-laws to be present.
The Officers and
Directors meet on the third Wednesday of each month, also at 7:00PM. These
meetings are open to all members. Club business is discussed in detail.
Ideas are investigated, and if worthy of further action, assigned to
committees. Results are reported at subsequent meetings and refined as new
information is gathered until a fully developed plan is approved. Major
initiatives are then presented at the Monthly Membership Meeting. These meetings
are well structured to use time wisely and allow for free flowing discussions.
All members are encouraged to join in discussions at all meetings or to approach officers and directors with ideas or concerns. The Club is run strictly through volunteer efforts. No Officer or Director is compensated in any way. There are no free memberships to members of the Board. The improvements in the Club have been generated through the selfless efforts of members giving generously of their time. The Officers and Directors are happy to do the same.
