Holyoke Revolver



 


The Holyoke Revolver Club's Junior Rifle Program offers young shooters between the ages of 11 and 20 a safe and supervised place to shoot. The Junior Rifle Program meets from October to the end of May, Thursday night from 6-8 PM at the clubhouse. The Program also holds family friendly activities throughout the year.

All new shooters must first pass a Junior Safety Course taught by either our instructors, or other NRA & Mass. State Police Certified instructors.

Jim Torrey is the Chief Instructor.

Topics covered in the Junior Safety Course Include:

  • -Rules for safe gun handling
  • -Rifle parts and operation
  • -Disassembly & Cleaning Procedures
  • -Ammunition & Shooting fundamentals
  • -Range Rules







 



All of our instructors are not only certified by the NRA and the Mass. State Police, they are also all Boyscouts of America Certified Merit Badge Counselors.

Any Boyscout Troops that wish to participate in the program are encourged to contact the club.
